She has served in pivotal federal roles at the Department of Homeland Security—specifically at FEMA—as well as the United States Army, the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office, and the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General.

In the consulting sector, Dr. Lawson has forged strategic partnerships across the construction and transportation industries and collaborated with nonprofit organizations.
